Francois Thevenet grew up in the rural area in the south of France, moving to Buenos Aires, Argentina five years ago. The process of fundamental change of his immediate surroundings—from the calmness of the countryside in France to the buzzing tempo of the Argentinian capital Buenos Aires—sets an important mark in his work. These environments create a backdrop to Thevenet paintings, creating vibrant contemporary narratives that move from violent to peaceful, urban to natural, chaotic to harmonic.
