Spielbein, 2020—fragmented performance with an aluminium tube

“Spielbein” is the german word for the free leg, the relaxed leg in the contrapost. It is playfully balancing the body, looking for the next step. The work aims to question the limited format of the performance through an aluminium tube leaned against the wall of a gallery space. The seemingly unaware interactions between the exhibition visitors and the tube suggests a potentiality that lies with the performer to be one of the many spectators. When does really a performance start and when does it end?
