Nicholas Warburg (*1992, Germany): Across a range of styles, Nicholas Warburg fixes German identity under a microscope, challenging its prominent cultural figures – including Gerhard Richter, whose painting style is imitated here – and its symbols with millennial irony. Warburg studied at CalArts and Städelschule Frankfurt am Main, and has had solo shows at Berlin’s Galerie Anton Janizewski, Leipzig’s CK Offspace and Frankfurt’s Synnika.
