Biography
Lena Marie Emrich (b. 1991 Göttingen, lives and works in Berlin) trained at the Academy of Art Berlin and ASP in Warsaw. Emrich focuses her gaze onto marginal and social practices, revealing key elements into her artistic practice. Car tuning races, abandoned airfields, stadiums, hip hop videos, are all cultural references that nourish her multi-disciplinary practice. Weaving performance, documentation and sculpture, Emrich highlights the particulars of these unique communities.

Emrich‘s work and collective projects have been exhibited in the following institutions, including the Kunstverein at Rosa Luxemburg Platz in Berlin, Akademie der Künste in Berlin, Kunsthal Bergen in Norway, Bubenberg Gallery in Paris, Kunstraum LLC in New York City and Museum of Arts and Crafts in Hamburg and many more.
