Sick

Amrita Dhillon (India) studied Fine Arts at the University of the Arts Berlin. Her artwork ‘Sick’, inspired by a still from the 1964 film ‘Chitralekha’, captures a fleeting moment of physical and spiritual ecstasy before it fades. Dhillon paints on velvet and satin, depicting figures that shift between the alluring and the unsettling. The unusual framing of her compositions, influenced by early Bollywood films, creates a cinematic effect. The artist recently exhibited at Passage Berlin.
