Rafał Dominik draws and paints with coloured pencils, felt-tip markers and airbrush on paper and canvas, and also makes animations, sculptures, 3D objects and digital works realised as Lambda prints. Fascinated by popular culture, he takes elements from the world of mass consumption and rebuilds them in the gallery: a cucumber in a sombrero, still lifes with sneakers, portraits of contemporary figures and scenes of everyday social life. Dominik sees art as an important part of social life and makes work that is open to a wide audience and easy to understand, with humour carried by playful titles and irreverent subjects.
