Description

Georg Haberler graduated in 2015 from the academy of fine Arts in Vienna where he lives and works. In his mixed-media paintings he creates captivating arrangements, constructing a world that verges on collapse but maintains its equilibrium. Bizarre animals, still life and architectural structures are depicted with a characteristic palette of black and white thread and colourful inks on a unprimed canvas. Haberler arranges these elements following a painterly logic, Interacting with each other in a playful and awkward ways, inviting the viewer to find their own story.
