Bootygrab / I thought we’d belong together (Purpurne Boots)
Katja Gürtler2023, Oil and Egg Termpera, Canvas
40 x 30 cm
Katja Gürtler (*1988, Germany): Connected to another work within the same set and setting, Katja’s painting depicts two naked figures adorned solely in boots, intertwined in an embrace so profound that they seem to merge into a singular entity. Her artistic vision revolves around the tension inherent in social constructs and the fractures pervasive in modern society. Katja pursued her studies in Fine Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna and has recently showcased her work at the Galerie der Stadt Wendlingen.
