Description

Dustin Brown (*1995) picks up on the topic of intimacy in his works. Faceless characters are seen interacting with nature, animals and other humans. At first sight they suggest wholesome moments of joy and calmness but at closer examination there seems to be an imbalance between the foreground and the background and it unveils a potentially artificial characteristic of the scene. Brown describes that he focuses on the human desire for purpose and reflects on the emotional ups and downs of a person finding their way. Brown currently lives and works in North Carolina. His most recent exhibition include S.A.C., Los Angels, California (2022), Fir Gallery in Beijing, China (2022), Seefood Room in Hong Kong, China
