Description
Anouk was awarded with the Main Prize of the 2021 Strabag Art Award International. They studied at University of the Arts Berlin, and at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna, where they graduated with an M.A. in 2021. They are listed as one of the 10 most influential young artist in Austria.
The artistic universe of Anouk is one at rest in itself. Their intuitive method of composition creates a space that is difficult to grasp, where forms and signs built a world of odd harmony. Whether in abstract works or in “Lesbian Jazz”, Anouk takes a stand for an open society and the enriching lesbian gaze. Their oeuvre eludes hierarchy and patriarchal structures, is characterized by respect and equality.
