Juno Rothaug (*1999) lives and works in Hamburg. Her work moves seamlessly between abstraction and figuration. It always begins with a figurative idea, often drawn from art history. Initially, she roughly lays down the structure of the picture on the painting surface, without making a precise preliminary sketch, but rather setting focal points, observing relationships, or dynamics between the individual elements and fragments.
