Spring Auction Group Show

April 15, 2021 – April 22, 2021

In collaboration with our fine friends at ArtConnect, we are happy to announce our Spring Auction, making available 34 artworks, all starting from 0€. The works are available to view at Weserhalle via bookings, with the auction taking place entirely online. The auction closes April 22 at 8pm CEST. Happy Bidding!

Guest Curators

Our open call generated 784 entries including submissions from 71 nationalities, with artist ranging from 19 to 71 years old. To aid in the selection process, Weserhalle put together a panel of guest curators; Cibelle Cavalli Bastos (they/them), an artist, musician and independent researcher; Nina Barret Memy (her/she), a multi-disciplinary artist and an art mediator at the Boros Foundation; and Simon Mann (he/him), a conceptual artist who has curated at Weserhalle.

Team

All photography was made by Daniel Poller. Poller studied photography at the Leipzig School of Graphics and Book Art. His work is characterised by a permanent engagement with the topic of the extinction, transformation and return of images. 

Artist bios and work descriptions written by Eliza Levinson. Levinson is an artist and writer in Berlin. Her writing has been featured in publications including Artforum, The Nation, The New Inquiry, Hyperallergic, and ArtReview. 

The work included in this auction was selected from an open call in collaboration with ArtConnect, a platform giving artists the opportunities and resources they need to take on the world with their art.
