Description

Jiwon Choi (*1996) holds BFA and MFA degrees in Painting from Ewha Womans University and lives and works in Seoul. Jiwon Choi collects images of old ceramic dolls and actively adheres them to various artificial/natural elements to form screens. Since the subtly different faces of dolls existed as flat images, her paintings are not realistic documentaries but outputs of symbolic actions to understand the meaning of life and the world she lives in.
